The Dual Cell BRI Gateway Solution Overview The Dual Cell BRI Gateway, that will be referred as the BRI Gateway in short, is a device that connects your desk phones directly to cellular phone networks. This gateway completely bypasses the local landline telephone company. Two desk phones can be connected to each Dual Cell Gateway via a phone switching unit (often a PBX type switch).

The BRI Management MS-Windows application provides the following functionalities: Configuration Connections, ports, channels, SIM cards and operational modes can be configured Monitoring Call operations can be monitored from the management application. Therefore you may wish to leave the computer permanently connected to the Multi-Cell BRI system. Chapter 1: Installing SIM Cards and Connecting the Cables First you shall install the GSM SIM cards and later connect several cables and install the antennas to the BRI Gateway. Chapter 1.1: Installing the SIM Cards Insert the SIM cards into the Dual Cell as follows: On the bottom of the Dual Cell, open the SIM chambers by sliding the cover panels sideways.
Chapter 1.2: Connecting the Cables 12v power cable - The device power cable is supplied with a power supply converter for covering all main voltage electricity services in the world. Connect a 120V (North America), or 240V (Europe) power supply cable to the BRI-Cell Gateway. ISDN cable - The regular ISDN cable is used to connect the system to the PBX, serving the office landline phones.
Before operation, configuration settings must be made in the Winner Series BRI Gateway. Configuration is done on an auxiliary computer by using the BRI Management MS-Windows Application provided for MS-Windows operating system. Chapter 2.1: Install the BRI Management Application into an MS-Windows PC Insert the BRI Management installation CD into the CD drive of the PC.

Press in the toolbar. The Selected Connection window will open. Select the Com Port to which the Winner Series BRI Gateway is connected to. Select in the Connection Mode Com Port and press the OK button. Note: For the connection via TCP/IP see Appendix A.
Chapter 4: Port and SIM Settings This chapter describes port dial settings, as well as timetables and channel locks for SIM cards in use. Chapter 4.1: Define Dial Settings for Each Port Press to define dial settings for each port. The Port Setting window opens. To define port dial settings, choose a port and proceed as described on the following pages.
Chapter 4.2: Define Type of Dialed Numbers Dispatch Mode You can define manual or automatic dispatch. Select the mode in which telephone numbers are dispatched to the GSM network. To dispatch phone numbers manually, in the Send Complete list, select HASH. In this mode, after you dialed all digits of a phone number, press to send the phone number.
SIM. After making port settings, you MUST press Write Port Setting to send the settings to the Winner Series BRI Gateway unit. Then make settings for each SIM, as explained in the following section. Chapter 4.5: Define SIM Specifications In order to define a specific SIM setting you need to choose the specific SIM in the Port SIMs Tree on the left side of the main screen.

Enter SIM specifications: 1. Enter the Predial number in the Predial number box. 2. Enter the PIN code of the SIM in the PIN CODE box. 3. Select a caller identification option in the Caller ID list: To enable the GSM network to set caller ID standards, select Network. To disable identification of the SIM, select CLIR Suppression.
Chapter 4.6: Define the SIM Operator To assign the SIM to work with a specific GSM network, in the Operator ID, enter the GSM network operator ID, between 1–999999. Enter 0 to work with the SIM operator. 21/34...
Chapter 5.1: ISDN Settings Each Winner Series BRI Gateway has a master printed circuit board (PCB). The ISDN card is a small PCB mounted on the master PCB. The ISDN card is between ports in the Winner Series BRI Gateway and the external phones PBX switching unit.

Continue settings in the ISDN configuration window as follows: 1. System Version is the version of the master card software in the PCB. 2. The ISDN module is a small PCB connected to the master PCB. The ISDN module has an EEPROM containing ISM software. The ISM version is the version of the ISM software.

Chapter 6.1: B-Channel to In-House Phone Number Association Assign office “in-house” phone number extensions to B-Channels In-house phone numbers are assigned in the lower left frame. Outgoing number refers to internal telephone numbers (For example, 6001 and 6002). For each channel that extends to a phone simply mark the check box, as shown in the screen snapshot above.
Chapter 6.4: Port Allocation Mode Settings The manner in which a phone call is directed to a port is determined in this frame. By Prefixes: if selected, then the Winner Series BRI Gateway directs a call through a port according to the defined prefixes table.
Else, if one GSM network is designated for both ports, then select the manner in which ports will be selected: Cyclic indicates that ports will be selected in a cyclic manner: for example, if the first call is via port 1, the following call will be directed through port 2, the third call will be directed through port 1, and so forth.

Chapter 7.2: Call Reports Press to review the call report. Press Start to view the last calls that were made. Press Access/CSV/XML to export the calls list to a file in that format. For Automatic exporting of the list to a file you need to define the Path of the file (above), the Format, the Check every timer and the Export every.
Chapter 7.3: DELA Press to enter the DELA. DELA is a way to direct calls from a GSM number to specified extension. There are two ways to do that. 1. Unlimited DELA Calls – Enter the GSM number in the OUT/IN number box, enter the extension number in the Extension box, Press Add button to list them.

Appendix A: TCP/IP Setting TCP/IP settings task list 1. Connect the BRI Gateway to your LAN via the COM connector. 2. Install the software Network Enabler Administrator which is provided on the installation CD at the directory LAN Tools. 3. Launch the software Network Enabler and click the SEARCH icon (upper left side) to find the BRI Gateway IP.
