This appliance shall only be operat ed in an abov e gr ound, open air sit uat ion wit h nat ural vent ilat ion,
wit hout st agnant areas, wher e gas leakage and product s of com bust ion ar e rapidly dispersed by wind and
nat ural convect ion. Any enclosur e in which t he appliance is used shall com ply wit h one of t he following:
Wit hin a part ial enclosur e t hat includes an
ov erhead cov er and no m or e t han t wo
walls.
Any enclosur e wit h walls on all sides, but
at least one perm anent opening at ground
level, and no overhead cov er.
Wit hin a part ial enclosur e t hat includes an
ov erhead cov er and m ore t han t wo walls,
t he following shall apply:
At least 25% of t he t ot al wall area
is com plet ely open; and
At least 30% of t he r em aining wall
area is open and unr est rict ed.
I n t he case of balconies, at least 20% of
t he t ot al of t he side, back and fr ont wall
areas shall be and rem ain open and
unrest rict ed.
Befor e proceeding, you need t o est ablish t he gas t ype which your barbecue will run on, and t he st yle of
inst allat ion you need.

Befor e beginning inst allat ion or assem bly, check t hat t he gas t ype which t he barbecue is designed for is
corr ect for t he gas available t o you. I n m ost count ries t he choices are nat ural gas or LPG/ propane. You will
find t he gas t ype label on t he side of y our barbecue. I f y our barbecue uses t he incor r ect gas t y pe, or if
you are unsure, consult your dealer before going any furt her. Using t he wr ong t ype of gas for a barbecue
is ext r em ely dangerous.
N a t u r a l Ga s Con ve r sion : Most newly purchased barbecues ar e m ade for LPG/ pr opane. A nat ural gas
conv er sion kit is available t o allow your barbecue t o run on Nat ural Gas. This kit includes all hoses
required for inst allat ion.
