unit on.
Ensure that Hirose connector is pushed into the power plug.
When power to the unit is first turned on, a very dim green light will
appear on the network interface. Also, the hard drive should spin up and
make some noise when the unit is first powered on.
To turn unit off, press and hold the
unit for at least five seconds until the screen goes blank.
On the right side of the unit there are two
with a plus (+) and minus (-). Adjust the brightness to desired level.
Although rare, the display card and display power cycles will become in
sync causing a flickering display. This is typically resolved by adjusting
the brightness up and down until the flickering stops.
When the unit is turned on, listen to see if the hard drive powers up.
Watch the screen to see if it detects the hard drive during the Detect-
ing IDE devices phase of boot up.
If the network cable is inserted into the port correctly, it should snap and
if the cable is connected to an active hub or switch, a green light should
appear.
Try replacing the cable if a green light is not visible when first turned on.
