    Agreement. If you use the PSC Product, you will be deemed to have accepted the terms and conditions of this Agreement. If you do not intend to be bound to the terms of this Agreement, PSC is not willing to license the Software to you, you may not use the PSC Product or the Software, and you must contact the party from whom you acquired the PSC Product for instructions.

    Risk of Loss Customer shall bear risk of loss or damage for product in transit to PSC. PSC shall assume risk of loss or damage for product in PSC's possession or product being returned to Customer by PSC, except such loss or damage as may be caused by the negligence of Customer, its agents or employees. In the absence of specific written instructions for the return of product to Customer, PSC will select the carrier, but PSC shall not thereby assume any liability in connection with the return shipment.

    4620 Vehicle Mount Computer (VMC) is compact, powerful and rugged PC, ready for installation in mobile environments. Card slots allow expansion of the Falcon 4620 by adding hard disks, flash card, and/or radio cards.     Connect the Optional PowerScan Scanner The PSC PowerScan bar code scanner requires the 12V of power on Pin 9 of COM1. Refer to “Setting up and Configuring a PowerScan” on page for more infor- mation on the PSC PowerScan, a decoded bar code scanner.

    Do not connect any peripheral but a decoded serial bar code scanner to the Falcon 4620 VMC’s COM1 port, or damage can result for both the vehicle mount computer and the connected peripheral. PSC recommends using only the PowerScan on this port.

    Positive Terminal, and the black wire going to the Negative Terminal. The Falcon 4620 runs on 9-36VDC. It must be stepped down any time the voltage is any higher then 36VDC using a step down transformer (customer supplied).

It is extremely difficult to connect peripherals once the Ram Ball mount is assem- bled, so it is important to attach these cable connections in Step 11.

    1. Turn the power on by pressing the power button, illustrated above. 2. When the start-up sequence is complete, the system is ready for use. Upon initial boot-up the Falcon 4620 will go through the calibration sequence. Refer to “Calibrating the Touchscreen” on page for more information.

    Use a pointing device, such as a plastic stylus or your finger to select items from the display that you wish to use or open. The normal resolution for the Falcon 4620 is 800 x 600 SVGA. It can be decreased to 480 x 640.
