≥This is being caused by weak signal reception.
When listening to FM radio, try the following operations.
–Adjust the position of the FM aerial.
–Use an FM outdoor aerial.
–Press [FM MODE] to set to "MONO".
When listening to AM radio, try the following operations.
–Adjust the position of the AM aerial.
–Press [FM MODE] to select between "BP1" and "BP4" that receives good
reception.
≥Turn the television off or separate it from the unit.
≥Separate the aerial from other cables and cords.

≥Radio and sound effect settings are stored to memory after pressing [Í]. Do not
remove the AC mains lead until "BYE" disappears from the unit's display.
≥ Check the connections and settings.
≥ Press [AUDIO] to select the audio.
≥Some multi-channel DVD-Audio will prevent down-mixing of all or part of their
contents if this is the manufacturer's intention. This unit cannot down-mix these
types of discs. (When the disc is automatically down-mixed, audio will not be
output correctly when using headphones, etc. Audio is output only with the front
two channels, etc.)
≥Turn the volume up.
≥Turn muting off.
≥Switch off the unit, determine and correct the cause, then switch the unit on.
Causes include:
–Shorting (bare wires touching) of positive and negative speaker wires.
–Using speakers with an impedance lower than that rated for this unit.
–Straining of the speakers through excessive volume or power.
–Using the unit in a hot environment without proper ventilation.
≥The factory settings for the "H. Bass" and Subwoofer levels are optimized for 5.1
channel movie playback. If the bass seems too heavy during 2-channel disc,
playback, etc. change the settings.
≥When using headphones, you cannot set anything other than "Equalizer (EQ)".
≥If the audio is distorted when "F MUSICP" is selected, turn the volume down on
the connected external device.
≥ When audio playback is output through multi-channel, "Sound Field Control
(SFC)" cannot be set.
≥ You cannot change the audio type when playing DVD-R, DVD-R DL, DVD-RW
(DVD-Video format), +R, +R DL or +RW. When any these disc types is in use, the
audio of broadcast programme cannot be changed.
≥ There are discs which audio cannot be changed because of how the disc was
created.
≥An AC mains lead or fluorescent light is near this unit. Keep other appliances and
leads away from this unit.
≥Press [TV] to switch the remote control to operate the television.
≥Change manufacturer code. Some televisions cannot be operated even if you
change the code.
≥Press [THEATER] to switch the remote control to operate this unit.
≥ The remote control and this unit are using different codes.
Change the code on the remote control.
Press and hold [ENTER] and the indicated number button at
the same time for more than 2 seconds.
≥ The batteries are depleted. Replace them with new ones.
≥ You are not pointing the remote control at this unit's remote control signal sensor
during operation.
≥ Coloured glass may obstruct the signal reception/transmission.
≥ Don't place the signal sensor in direct sunlight or in areas that may be subject to
sunlight exposure.
≥ It may be necessary to set the code on the remote control again after changing
the batteries.
≥ It may be necessary to set the manufacturer code again after changing the
batteries.
≥ The child lock function is activated.
