Reinstalling the Encoder Strip

1 Ensure that the encoder strip is oriented
with the transparent area up, and with
three holes on the left side and one hole
on the right side.
3 With washer and nut, secure the encoder
strip to the service station.

2 Thread the strip through the apertures
in the cartridge carriage assembly.
4 Press the forward end of the encoder
spring bracket slightly inward and place
the encoder strip between the tabs and
over the threaded post on the encoder
spring bracket.
