Library Accessories
Depending on the configuration, the following accessories may be shipped with the library.
Contact your support or service representative to obtain additional parts.
SCSI Interface Cable(s): Four-meter SCSI cable(s)
with 68-pin connectors.
SCSI Terminator(s): 68-pin SCSI terminator (HVDS
or LVDS) to terminate the SCSI chain.
Fibre Channel Cable: Optical short-wave cable that
connects the Fibre Channel card to the host, hub,
or switch (for Fibre Channel configurations).
Fibre Channel GBIC: Connects the Fibre Channel
cable to the host, hub, or switch (for standard
performance Fibre Channel controllers only).
SCSI Jumper Cable(s): 68-pin cable that connects
the library controller or Fibre Channel card to a
drive.
Tape Cartridges: Cartridges included for data
backup.
Cleaning Cartridge: Cleaning cartridge to be used
when cleaning the drive.
Power Cord(s): Localized power cord(s) included
with the library.
User's Guide: Describes installation, operation, and
troubleshooting information.
Installation Poster: Provides an overview on
installing and configuring the library, as well as
additional information on support.
Trim Brackets (field rack only): Aligns the library to
the depth of the rack.
Host Interface Card: Install into the host system as
needed for your configuration.
Bar Code Label Kit: Bar code labels for data and
cleaning cartridges, and reordering information.

Depending on the configuration ordered, some of these steps may have been completed at the factory. For users unfamiliar with storage devices, please refer to the user guide for the library. Note: Your library model might look different from the illustrations used on this poster. Install Rack Components Install the clip nuts and mounting rails.
- Page 3 Install Library Components Depending on your library configuration, install the Fibre Channel card(s) and drive(s). Check the Host Configuration Ensure that the host system has the appropriate number of card expansion slots and host interface cards for your library configuration. For more information on cabling, refer to Steps 5 and 6.
