A battery is provided on the central processing unit (CPU) in the KSU. This battery retains

system memory if the power fails. When fully charged, a new lithium battery maintains

A low battery LCD indication will appear on Multiline terminal Ports 1 and 2 when the
litium battery is low.
Memory switch SW1 should be set to CLEAR when data is not required to be saved for
storage purposes. This will prolong the life of the lithium battery.
