Paper Does Not Feed Properly
If the paper tears in the Rear Tray, see
If there are any foreign objects in the Rear Tray, be sure to turn off the printer, unplug it from the
power supply, then remove the foreign object.
Check 7: Clean the Paper Feed Roller.
Routine Maintenance
Note
Cleaning the Paper Feed Roller will wear the roller, so perform this procedure only when
necessary.
Check 8: Is the Rear Cover closed completely?
Paper may be jammed if the Rear Cover is not closed completely. Close the Rear Cover completely.

Check 9: If A3 sized plain paper jams frequently near the paper out slot
or is curled, select the Prevent paper jam setting.
Set the Prevent paper jam in the printer driver only when A3 sized plain paper jams frequently near
the paper out slot or is curled.
It results in lower printing speed or lower print quality if you are selecting the Prevent paper jam
setting.
* Deactivate the Prevent paper jam setting once printing is complete. If not, this setting remains
to remove it.
