Powering On

Each product built into the HS-1000 receives DC power from the PD-1 unit on the rear of the HS-1000.
Please ensure the PD-1 is fed with either an AC or DC feed before attempting to switch on the HS-1000. For
more information on the PD-1 please refer to its manual. If a product within the HS-1000 fails to start after
the PD-1 is switched on then locate the on/off switch on the product that has not started. For further advice
on using a product within the HS-1000 please refer to its manual in the supplied binder.

TLM-170 monitor: displays the YUV,
SDI outputs from SE-1000 and the CV
playback from the DN-500
TLM-433 monitors: display the source
video for each input connected to the
SE1000 mixer via the RP-36 rear panel
ITC-100/ 6 : Intercom/Talkback system,
provides upto 8 channels for 2 way
communication with camera crews -
(HS1000 is supplied with 6 belt packs)
SE-1000: HD-SDI or SD-SDI mixer with
5 BNC SDI inputs and 1 DVI-I PC input –
source previews to TLM-433 monitors
and PGM output to DN-500, RP-36 and
TLM-170D
DN-500 / HDR-200: Recorder / Player,
with 2.5" Removable HDD enclosure for
easy transfer to a computer via USB

Optional HS-1000 recorders DN-500 and HDR-200

Either a DN-500 or HDR-200 is fitted to the HS-1000 according to the end users preference or order.
The DN-500 is fitted were the end user wishes to record Standard Definition projects with the HS-1000.
The DN-500 within the HS-1000 set up is set to record YUV (PGM) and external XLR audio via RP-22 panel
(see connections 15 & 16). In this set up all HS-1000 SDI connections do not carry embedded audio. Please
refer to the DN-500 instruction manual in your binder for further information on using this recorder.
The HDR-200 is fitted were the end user wishes to record High Definition projects with the HS-1000.
The HDR-200 will be set up to record HD-SDI (PGM) and external XLR audio via the RP-22 panel. In this set
up the AUX HD-SDI output on the RP-36 panel will show the PGM signal being recorded or a selected track
being played back from the HDR-200. This AUX HD-SDI output may also carry embedded audio if it is being
supplied via the RP-22 panel (see connections 15 & 16). All other HS-1000 SDI connections will not carry
embedded audio. Please refer to the HDR-200 instruction manual in your binder for further information.

HS-1000 RP-22 External Audio Inputs

The XLR Audio inputs (connections 15 and 16) on the rear RP-22 panel are connected directly to the
recorder fitted within the HS-1000. There is no facility within the HS-1000 or the recorder to delay the audio
or mix the audio.
