Configuring the base station

Changing the answering machine PIN

Only available for Gigaset SX255isdn and Gigaset SX353isdn.
ì
Double-click Configuration in Folder List.
This displays the dialogues available.
ì
Click Local Answering Machine.
The device list and the corresponding tabs are then displayed.
ì
Open the Remote access tab.
ì
In the device list, click the answering machine for which you want to change the
answering machine PIN.
ì
Click Change AM PIN.
This opens the PIN tab.
ì
Enter the answering machine's current PIN in the Old PIN field. When supplied, the
PIN is preconfigured to 0000.
ì
Enter a new sequence in the New PIN field. The PIN can be from 1 to 8 digits long.
ì
Repeat the new PIN in the PIN confirmation field.
ì
Confirm your entry with OK.
This closes the PIN dialogue. The answering machine's New PIN will be sent to the
base station.
Resetting the answering machine PIN
To permanently deactivate PIN protection, reset the answering machine
i
PIN to the factory setting 0000.
ì
To do this, enter 0000 as the New PIN in the PIN dialogue and confirm
it by entering it again.
