Remote Answering Machine
Only available for base stations without an integrated answering machine (e. g.
Gigaset SX205isdn or Gigaset SX303isdn).
Use the Remote Answering Machine field to enter the telephone number of an
external answering machine at your network provider's telephone exchange. You
can then set up the remote play call directly via your base station.
Factory settings
Use the options in the Factory Settings tab to select and delete the log lists stored in your
base station.

All SMS lists
All ans.mach. messages

You cannot undo the delete operation for log lists.
You can also reset the base station configuration to the factory setting. You should use
this function only if you want to configure your base station anew or remedy a problem.
You cannot undo the reset to factory settings operation.

All the log lists and personal settings will be lost. The handsets are still
registered.
Security
Use the Security tab to enter a personal identification number (PIN) to protect your
base station against unauthorised access.
When supplied, the PIN is preconfigured to 0000. PIN protection will be effective once
you set a PIN that is not 0000. The PIN can be between 1 – 8 digits long. Only the digits
0 – 9 are permitted. Each digit you enter is shown as *.
Once PIN protection has been activated, you will be prompted to enter this PIN every
time you open configuration. Use the Save PIN option to deactivate PIN protection for
the current configuration session. You will not be prompted for the PIN again until you
close and reopen configuration.
Resetting the system PIN
To permanently deactivate PIN protection, reset the system PIN to the fac-

tory setting 0000.

To do this, enter 0000 in the Change PIN dialogue as New PIN and
confirm it by entering it again.
