Setting the base

Setting the base
All the settings for the base are made with a registered C 2 handset.

Protecting the telephone from unauthorised access

You can protect your telephone from unauthorised access by saving system settings for
the base with a system PIN which only you know. The system PIN must now be entered
for handset registration/de-registration, restoring factory settings or internal listening
in, for example.
Changing the System PIN
You can change the base's 4-digit system PIN (default setting 0000) to a 4-digit PIN
which is known only to you. This also allows you to remotely operate the answering
machine from the Gigaset C 250 (page 67).
