4. 1500 and 2200 VA models. Pull the battery out onto a flat, stable
surface (see Figure 26). Press on the black tab on the battery cable
connector to disconnect the battery.
See "Recycling the Used Battery or UPS" on page 47 for proper
disposal.
5. Install the new batteries in the reverse order of removal.
6. Replace the metal battery cover.
7. Replace the UPS front cover.
