7.17 Timer redordings
Your receiver is equipped with the video recorder timer and a station change timer. These
timers only differ with regard to programming by indication of the appropriate timer type.
You can channel the timer either manually as described in this chapter or as explained in
Section 7.16.7.2 by means of the SFI function.
1. Video recorder-timer
Your digital receiver is activated or deactivated by the video recorder timer, in order to record
a channel on a recording device in your absence, e.g. on a video recorder. Please oibserve
that you have to program your video recorder in order to record a programme.
If the set was activated by the video recorder-timer this would be shown on the display as
"VCR Timer". Most of the remote control functions are deactivated, to prevent accidental
aborting of the recording. The active timer is indicated by the flashing of the two dots in the
time display or LED in the standby mode.
2. Station change-timer
If your set is in normal mode, it will tune in to the programmed programme position when the
programme time has arrive. The device can be used as usual and is not turned off when the
programme has finished, in contrast to the settings of the video recorder timer.
