Using the C200H ID Sensor Unit with CS1-series PCs

Setting Procedure

Hardware Settings

1. Set the unit number of the ID Sensor Unit using the rotary switch on the front of the Unit.
2. Mount on a CS1 CPU Rack, a C200H I/O Expansion Rack, a CS1 Expansion Rack, or a SYSMAC BUS
Remote I/O Slave Rack. In a basic system, up to 10 Units can be mounted. (There are no restrictions on
mounting order.)
3. Connect the Programming Device to the PC.
4. Turn on power to the PC.
5. Create an I/O table.
Initial Software Settings
Save command data to the area specified using word n+2 of the CIO Area.
Executing Commands
1. Set the number of command data words in word n+1 of the CIO Area.
2. Set the area name and the address for the area used to store command data in word n+2 of the CIO Area.
3. When using read commands, set the area name and the address for the area used to receive read data in
word n+3 of the CIO Area.
4. Execute commands for the ID Sensor Unit by turning bit 00 of word n of the CIO Area from OFF to ON.
Programming
Executing Commands
1. Set the number of command data words (CIO Area, word n+1) and the command data storage area address
(CIO Area, word n+2) using the MOV(021) instruction, with the normally closed condition of the ID Busy Flag
(CIO Area, word n+4, bit 00) as an input condition. (When using a read command, also set the read data
receiving area address (CIO Area, word n+3) using the MOV(021) instruction.)
2. Program a self-holding bit as one of the input conditions for the above MOV(021) instructions.
3. Turn ON the command execution flag (word n, bit 00) using the OUT instruction, with the normally open con-
dition of the above self-holding bit as the input condition.
