Note: You cannot have a conference call and a transferred call ongoing at the same time.
Note: If the person who started the conference call leaves, the remaining parties can
continue talking in the same conference.
2.3.9 Transferring a Call
Take the following steps to transfer an ongoing call to another phone number.
During the ongoing call, press the TRANSFER key.

The next available line automatically activates. Ensure you can hear a dial .

Dial the number to which you want to transfer the call.

To transfer the call, either:

• Wait until you hear the ringing , then simply put down the handset or press the Speaker
key(depending on which you are using) to end the call. The call is transferred. This is known as
a blind or unsupervised transfer.
• Wait for the other person to answer, then press transfer key again to end the call. This is
known as a consultant or supervised transfer, and allows you to ask the other person whether
they want to receive the call or not.
