    1.1 Making Hardware Connections 1 LAN: Use an Ethernet cable to connect the V300 to your network. 2 PC (optional): Use an Ethernet cable to connect your computer to the PC port on the V300 to access your network through the V300, or to configure the V300 using the web configurator (see your User’s Guide for information on using the web configurator).

    2 Initial Configuration This section describes how to use the phone’s LCD screen menus to: • Set up Your Network Connection • Set up Your Voice Account The phone does not need to be connected to a computer to do this. However, if you want to configure your V300 using a computer, see your User’s Guide for information.
  • Page 6 1 Press the navigator up or down to access the menu, and scroll down to Adv Setting. Press Menu. You can also use the alphanumeric keypad to make your selections in the LCD screen. For example, you can press the 6 key in the Menu Setting screen (above) to go to the Adv Setting screen.
  • Page 7 6 The PPPoE Username menu displays. Press Menu and enter your user name. Press Menu again when you are done. 7 Press 3 to enter the PPPoE Password menu. Press Menu. The PPPoE Password menu displays. 8 Press Menu and enter your password. Press Menu again when you are done.

Scroll down and set up the Gateway IP address, Subnet Mask and 1st and 2nd DNS servers (if you have information about only one DNS server, set up the 1st DNS only).

The default is 5060. 8 Serv Domain If you have a SIP account like 1234567@voip-provider.com, the SIP service domain is voip-provider.com. 9 SIP Auth ID This is the user name for this SIP account.
