The SoundPoint IP 450 phone can play the audible ringer of an incoming call
through any of its alerting destinations: the speaker, the handset, the headset
(if enabled), or the active destination.
If the Active destination is selected, the audible ringer is played through:
• The speaker, by default.
• The handset, if it is off-hook and the phone is idle.
• The headset, if it is connected and Headset Memory Mode is enabled (refer to

To change the audible ringer:

Select Settings > Basic > Preferences > Audible Ringer.

Scroll to select the desired ring destination.

Choose Speaker, Handset, Headset, or Active as the alerting destination
for the audible ringer.
Press the Select soft key to change to the selected audible ringer.

The SoundPoint IP 450 phone supports many languages.
To change the language:
