Power supply

The lights come on briefly, but then go off and stay off.
Cause
The scanner's voltage rating
may not match the voltage of
your electrical outlet.
The scanner does not work and the lights are off.
Cause
The power cord is not
properly plugged into the
electrical outlet.
The scanner is turned off.
The electrical outlet is
controlled by an outside
switch or automatic timer.
The outlet is out of order.

Troubleshooting
What to do
Check the scanner's voltage rating
and the outlets voltage rating. If the
voltages do not match, unplug the
scanner immediately and contact your
dealer.

Warning:
Do not reconnect the power cord to an
electrical outlet that does not have
matching voltage.
What to do
Turn off the scanner, make sure the
power cord is firmly plugged into
the electrical outlet, and turn on the
scanner. If the lights still don't come
on, contact your dealer.
Press the OPERATE button to turn on
the scanner. The OPERATE light will
come on.
Use a different outlet.
Plug another electrical device into the
outlet to determine whether the outlet
is working. If it is not, use a different
outlet.
