floor space required by your configuration and the corresponding floor-loading value. For
example, a configuration that consists of three racks with two end panels requires 1.843 square

1.5.2 Unpacking Space

When planning for the installation, also plan for the additional space needed to unpack the rack
and remove it from its shipping pallet. If there is insufficient space in the computer room, you
might need to clear some space in an anteroom or corridor and then roll the system to its
installation destination. The following considerations might be relevant:
You need 122-cm (48-in) of clearance all the way around the pallet and above the rack to
allow the removal of the packing materials.
Maintain at least 86-cm (34-in) of clearance in front of the rack to allow the door to open all
the way.
