Adjust the paper stop until it touches the edges of the paper.

Slide the tray back into the printer.
10. If the control panel prompts you, on the screen, verify the paper size and type.
11. To specify the settings on the printer control panel, for Use Driver Settings for Print Job, clear the
check box.

Touch Size, then, for a standard paper size, touch an option.

Touch Type, then, for the paper type, touch an option.
Touch OK.

12. Verify or set the paper size and type.

At the printer control panel, press the Machine Status button.
Touch Tools > Tray Management > Tray Settings.

Touch the desired tray.
Note:
When you select the bypass tray, the check box for Use Driver Settings for Print Job is set by
default. To change the setting, clear the check box.

Configuring Trays 1–4 for the Paper Length
You can adjust the lengths of trays 1 and 2 to accommodate A4/Letter and Legal paper sizes. In the
Legal length settings, the trays protrude from the front of the printer.
To change the 550-Sheet Feeders in trays 1–4 to match the paper length:
