2. Use the filter to specify the group of addresses that should receive the message. See Filtering the List of
Active Sessions. Only accounts with valid phone numbers can be sent SMS alerts.
3. Enter the message in the Message text box. Messages may contain up to 160 characters.
4. Click Send.

SMS Services

With SMS Services, you can configure ClearPass Guest to send SMS messages to guests. You can use SMS to
send a customized guest account receipt to your guest's mobile phone.
You are also able to use SMS Services to send an SMS from your Web browser.
To use the SMS features, you must have the SMS Services plugin installed.

Configuring SMS Gateways

You can configure the application to send SMS messages using the Manage SMS Gateways link on the
Administrator > SMS Services page.
The SMS Gateways window displays the name and available credits for any currently defined SMS
gateways. To create a new SMS gateway, click the Create new SMS gateway link to display the SMS
Service Configuration form.
The first part of the form includes the Service Settings and Mobile Number Settings areas.
