Checking Status by E-Mail
When the printer uses TCP/IP, you can communicate with the printer by e-mail.

When users inquire about network settings or the printer status, the printer
sends a reply by e-mail.

If an error occurs at the printer, the printer sends an error notification to the
user by e-mail.
This function is called "Status Messenger".
For details about the necessary settings to use the Status Messenger and how to send e-mail, refer to
the Network Print Environment User Guide on the CD-ROM provided.
