CAUTION
• When unplugging the machine, grasp the plug instead of the cord. Forcibly pulling on a
cord can damage it and cause fire or electric shocks.
5. Push up the lever A and open the front cover. Press the orange button on the left to
open the output tray cover.
6. Hold the drum cartridge by the handles with both hands, and lift it straight up.
Important
• Do not touch the interior of the printer. Some parts may be hot.
• Make sure to remove the drum cartridge before moving the printer. Otherwise, the toner may spill in the
printer.
• After removing the drum cartridge out of the printer, avoid exposure to strong light by putting it in a box or
bag or wrapping it with a thick cloth.
7. Close the output tray cover and then the front cover.
Important
• When closing the covers, be careful not to get your fingers caught between the covers and the printer.
8. Remove the tray out of the printer, and remove the paper in the tray. Re-wrap the
paper and store it away from dust and humidity.
9. If the tray is extended, slide the right/left lock tabs in the tray outward to release the
lock, and push the extended portion back into the tray.
10. Push the tray all the way into the printer.
Important
• When inserting the tray, be careful not to get your fingers caught between the tray and the printer.
11. Lift the printer and move it gently. If moving it over a long distance, pack it in a box.
