LEANING THE
Clean the printer about every month. A thorough cleaning
consists of wiping out the inside Toner Cartridge area and
cleaning the outside of the printer.
Carefully follow these directions.
1.
Turn off and unplug the printer (A).
2.
Open the Top Cover and remove the Toner Cartridge (B).
Do not expose Toner Cartridge to light for more than a
few minutes. Cover with a dark cloth if it will be out of
the printer for any length of time!

Using a soft lint-free cloth, gently wipe the internal toner
cartridge area and lens (C).
4.
Re-insert the Toner Cartridge (D).
5.
Close the Top Cover (E).
6.
Using a clean soft cloth, wipe off any stains or dust from
the printer's exterior (F).
note:
Do not use strong solvents or abrasive cleansers
on plastic parts of the printer.
7.
If toner marks have been appearing on the back of your
printouts you should also print out an Internal Cleaning
Sheet (see page 61).
