Completing the Upgrade

1. The Express5800/320Ma Software upgrade installs a new video driver. Use the
Display Properties tool to change the screen resolution to a setting appropriate for
you.
2. Relatch all disks. In ftSMC or your disk-management tool, verify that the status of
all disks is Healthy.
If you have been using RDR to mirror disks, the mirror of the system disk
automatically synchronizes with the system disk.
If you are using a disk-management tool to mirror disk volumes, mirror the
partner of the system disk to the upgraded system disk, as described in the
documentation for your disk-management tool.
3. Start ftSMC and make sure that all hardware is online and operational.
4. If you have configured the COM1 or COM2 port to function as a modem or as a
communications cable between two computers, verify that the ports function as you
expect. You may need to reconfigure the COM port after the upgrade.
5. Enter login information again for the Express5800/320Ma Software Availability
Manager service. To locate this service, in Computer Management, click
Services and Applications and then double-click Services. For more information
about entering login information, see how to configure email in the
Express5800/320Ma Software Availability Manager User's Guide.
