Overview of the Remote Management Installation Procedure

The remote management installation (RMI) procedure installs ftServer Management
Console (ftSMC) and the Java 2 Runtime Environment (JRE) on a PC that is running
Windows 2000 (any type), Windows Server 2003, or Windows XP. JRE is used by the
Virtual Technician Module (VTM) console.
ftSMC and VTM enables you to monitor and manage Express5800/320Ma systems
from your PC. For information about these tools, see the following:

Performing the RMI Procedure

1. Do one of the following:
Browse to a local network share that contains the contents of the
Express5800/320Ma ExpressBuilder CD (1 of 2). Open the bin folder and
double-click Setup.hta.
Insert the Express5800/320Ma ExpressBuilder CD (1 of 2) into the CD-ROM
drive.
