Performing the Express5800/320Ma Software Upgrade
3. Follow the prompts to run the Express5800/320Ma Upgrade Readiness Test, which
determines whether your system has the necessary hardware, firmware, and
operating system software to install the upgraded version of Express5800/320Ma
software. If the system passes the test, go to step 4.
If the system fails the test, click View Log on the Readiness Test Failed dialog
box to examine the results of the test. Then, perform the necessary tasks to correct
the situation and run the Express5800/320Ma Upgrade Readiness Test again.
If the log indicates that you must stop the Microsoft Management Console
(MMC), close all instances of MMC, including ftSMC sessions and remote
MMC sessions.
If the BMC or VTM firmware or the BIOS test failed, upgrade the BIOS or
firmware. See
4. When the Readiness Test Passed dialog box appears, follow the prompts to
upgrade Express5800/320Ma and to remove and install third-party software.
You can accept the default settings for any third-party software installed during the
upgrade.

3. You may encounter the System Settings Change
dialog box during an upgrade. Click No each time it
appears.
4. Messages indicating that drivers are not signed may
appear one or more times when NEC Solutions
(America), Inc. PCI adapter drivers are installed. In
each case, in response to the query Do you want
to continue the installation?, click
Continue.

N O T E S
1. If a Setup Complete dialog box appears, click No, I
will restart my computer later, and then click
Finish. If you restart the system at this prompt, the
installation will not complete properly.
2. Be sure to install the third-party software, as NEC
Solutions (America), Inc. does not support
Express5800/320Ma systems that lack this software.
