Safety switch-off

Safety switch-off with an
over-long cooking time
Your hob is fitted with a safety switch-
off feature in case you forget to switch
it off yourself.
If one of the cooking zones is heated
for an unusually long period of time
(see chart), and during that time none
of the sensors are touched, the hob will
switch itself off automatically and the
appropriate residual heat indicator will
appear.
If several cooking zones have been
switched on the cooking zone with the
highest power setting is used to deter-
mine the maximum length of operating
time. (Highest setting = shortest opera-
ting time)

If you wish to use the cooking zones
once again, switch the hob back on
again in the usual way by touching
the ON / OFF sensor s .
Safety switch-off if the sensor swit-
ches are covered
Your hob will switch itself off automati-
cally if one or several of the sensor swit-
ches remain covered for more than
about 10 seconds, for example, by
finger contact, food boiling over, or by
an object such as an oven glove or a
tea towel. The residual heat indicator
will light up in the display for any cook-
ing zone which is still hot.
Clean the control area or remove
the objects.
Switch the hob back on again with
the ON / OFF sensor s . The cook-
ing zones can now be used once
again.
