Types of pans
Induction cooking zones only work
when covered by a pan which has a
magnetic base.
Suitable pans include:

– enamelled steel
– cast iron
The following pans are not suitable:
– stainless steel without a magnetic
base
– aluminium, copper
– glass, ceramic, or earthenware
To test a pot or pan for suitability for
use on an induction hob:
fill the pan with some water and
place it on the cooking zone.
switch the zone on and select a high
power setting.
If the pan is not suitable the power set-
ting shown in the display for that cook-
ing zone will go out after a few seconds
and ß will show in the display.
Do not use pans with very thin
bases and never heat up an empty
pan as it could be damaged.
