Function of the sensor swit-
ches
This hob is equipped with electronic
sensor switches. These react to finger
contact.
There is a separate sensor switch for
operating each cooking zone.
An audible tone confirms when a sen-
sor switch reacts to being touched.
Make sure that only one sensor
switch is touched at a time. Take
care to keep the control area clean.
Do not put things down on it. The
sensors may fail to react or they
could mistake the article or any dirt
for a finger contact, thereby activat-
ing a function or even leading to the
hob switching itself off automatically
(see section on "Safety switch-off").
Never place hot pans on the sensor
switches. This can damage the elec-
tronics.

Switching on the hob

The hob must be switched on before
any of the zones can be used.
Proceed as follows:
Touch the ON /OFF sensor switch s.
The hob is now switched on and a 0 ap-
pears in each of the zone displays. (If a
zone is hot its display shows an H for re-
sidual heat; see section on "Switching
off"). If no further entry is made the
zeros disappear and the hob switches
itself off for safety reasons after approx.
10 seconds.
Switching on a cooking zone:
Select a power setting between 1
and 9 by touching the
switch for that zone.
