Use

Overheating protection

The induction coil on a cooking zone
can overheat if:
– the pan does not conduct the heat
properly.
– fats or oils are heated up on the
highest power setting.
The overheating protection works in
one of the following ways:
– If the rear left zone is affected and
the Booster function is engaged then
the Booster function will be shut
down.
– If power setting 9 has been set, the
9 will alternate in the display with the
8, i.e. the cooking zone power level
has been reduced to setting 8 .
– The affected cooking zone switches
itself off automatically. The display
first shows a 0 and then the residual
heat indicator.
The cooking zone can be used again
once it has cooled down to a safe level.

To prevent he overheating protection
from cutting in again observe the follow-
ing advice:
– only use pots and pans which con-
duct the heat properly,
– heat fats and oils on a medium set-
ting only.
