Cleaning and care
Never use a steam cleaner to clean
this appliance. Pressurised steam
could cause permanent damage to
the surface and to components for
which the manufacturer cannot ac-
cept responsibility.
Do not use any sharp pointed ob-
jects which could damage the seal
between the ceramic surface and
the surrounding frame and between
the frame and the worktop.
Never use scouring agents, pads,
abrasive cleaning agents, or strong
cleaners e.g. oven sprays, stain or
rust removers, as these could dam-
age the surface of the appliance.
Do not use washing up liquid on the
ceramic surface as it can leave a
blue sheen on the surface which
may be difficult to remove.
26
The ceramic surface can be
cleaned using a proprietary clean-
ing agent for ceramic surfaces. Fol-
low the manufacturer's instructions
on the packaging.
Ensure that every trace of cleaner
has been removed from the surface
by wiping the cooking zones care-
fully with a damp cloth. Any remain-
ing trace could have a damaging ef-
fect on the hob when heated up.
After cleaning, thoroughly dry the
ceramic surface with a soft cloth to
prevent a build up of limescale
deposits.
Remove any soiling as quickly as
possible to prevent it from burning
on to the ceramic surface and en-
sure that pan bases are clean, dry
and free of grease before use.
