BLADEDRIVE BELT
REPLACEMENT
Followthis procedureto removeand re-
placethe bladedrive belt. An assistant
will be needed.
To RemoveBelt:
1. Stopengine, waitfor all parts to
stopmoving,and disconnect s park
plug wire.
2. Disengagebladedrive control (Figure
5-7) by releasingall controls on the
mower.
3. Removebelt cover (see"Belt Cover
Removal").
4. Loosenbelt guides(B and C,
Figure5-8).
5. Moveflap bracket(N, Figure5-8) out
of the way by looseningtwo screws (M).
8. Removebelt (A, Figure5-8) from
around sheaves.
To Install Belt:
1, Routebelt (A, Figure5-8) around
sheavesas shown.
2. Havean assistanthold down
OperatorPresenceControland then
pushthe Blade Drive Controlforward
until it latches in place(Figure5-7).
3. With the BladeDrive Control lever en-
gaged,adjust and tighten belt guide (B)
to 1/32 - 1/16" awayfrom tensioned
belt. (Be surethat belt does not contact
beltguide when belt is undertension.)
Securebelt guide (C) rotatedinto posi-
tion as shown in Figure5-8.
4. DisengageBladeDrive Control.
5. Re-tightentwo screws (M, Figure
5-8) that secureflap bracket(N).
6. Reinstallbelt cover securely.
