Engine Throttle Control
This lever(G, Figure3-6) is usedto
adjust engine speedsand to stop the en-
gine. Alwaysrun engineat fast speed
settingfor best mower performance.
The throttle settings are shown below.

H - IGNITION/STARTER

Ignition/Starter Switch -
(Electric Start Model)
This three-positionswitch (H, Figure
3-6) is usedto start and stop the
engineon electric start models. The ig-
nition key settings are shown below. Do
not turn the key until you havereadthe
OperationSection in this Manual.
Always removeignition key when
leavingmower unattendedor when in-
specting,cleaningor servicingmower.
'_ STOP- Stops engine.
(_ RUN- After starting, key
returns to run position.

Engine Recoil Starter
The recoil starter (I, Figure3-7) is
usedto "pull-start" the engine. Detailed
instructions for using the recoil starter
are found in the OperationSectionof this
Manualand in the EngineOwner's
Manual.Do not pull the recoilstarter
until you havereadthe Operation
Section.
