A TAPE (DECK II TO DECK I)

1. Load
the cassette
for playback
in DECK II.
• Tape copying
must
begin from
side A. Therefore,
make
sure that the tape is rewound
to the beginning
of side A,
and the forward
play indicator
(_>) is lit.
2. Place
the
cassette(s)
for recording
on the
cassette
tray of DECK I,
• Make sure that the erasure prevention
tabs are intact.
3. Press the OPEN/CLOSE
button
to close the tray.
4. Press
one
of the
CASSETTE
NUMBER
buttons
to
load the tape for recording.
• Tape copying
must
begin
from side A. Therefore,
make
sure that the tape is rewound
to the beginning
of side A,
and the forward
play indicator
([>) is lit.
5. Select
the
desired
tape
transport
mode
with
the
REVERSE
MODE
button.
• To copy only one side of the tape, select "z"
(one way
mode).
• To copy
both
sides
of the tape,
select
"¢._" (reverse
mode).
6. Press
one of the
COPY
MODE
buttons
to select
the
desired
copying
mode:
• To listen
to the playback
during
copying,
press
the
NORMAL button.
• To copy the tape
at twice
the normal
playback
speed,
press the HI-SPEED button.
• The copied
tape
is recorded
with
the same Dolby
noise
reduction
characteristics
as the playback
tape, regardless
of the settings of the DOLBY NR system.
To stop in the middle of tape copying:
Press the stop (11) button
of either
DECK
or DECK I1. Both
decks will stop.
NOTES:
During
HI-SPEED copying,
none
of the operation
buttons
will function,
except the stop (11)button.
During
NORMAL
copying,
the recording
mute
(0)
and
pause (11)buttons of DECK I also function.
Note on HI-SPEED Copying:
If the cassette
deck is located
near a television
set, a high
pitched
whistling
sound
may be recorded
during
high-speed
copying.
If this occurs,
move the cassette deck away from the
television
set, use normal
speed copying,
or turn the television
set off.
