I MAINTENANCE
When the heads of the cassette deck get dirty, they are not able
to record or play back cassette tapes clearly. The sound will be
distorted
or the high frequency
sounds will not be reproduced.
Therefore,
the heads should
be cleaned whenever
necessary.
CLEANING THE HEADS, PINCH ROLLERS AND
CAPSTANS
The heads,
pinch rollers
and capstans
are likely
to get dirty
quite easily. If these parts; particularly
the heads; get dirty, the
high
frequency
components
of recording
will
not be repro-
duced
and the stereo
balance
will be impaired,
resulting
in a
deterioration
of the playback
sound.
It is therefore
recom-
mended
that the head
section
be cleaned
regularly.
Use a
commercially
available
cleaning
cassette.
Be sure to follow the
instructions
of the cleaning
cassette tape carefully.

I CLEANING THE FRONT PANEL SECTION
