Boot sequence is incorrectly set.

Reason
Corrupt boot disk, or boot disk
does not have correct boot
utilities.
The boot sequence may be set to
C, A, in which case the machine
will not boot from A if there is an
operating system on C.
Corrupt BIOS on the flash
EPROM.
ERROR - Hard disk drive not recognized
Reason
Hard disk drive power cable is not
attached.
Hard disk drive SCSI cable is not
attached.

Solution
Change the "Installed Memory
Speed," parameter in AMIBIOS
Setup to 70 ns. Refer to Chapter
6.

Change the boot sequence. Refer
to Chapter 4.
Load operating system as
described in operating system
documentation.

Replace the boot disk.

Reprogram the flash EPROM on
the system board. Refer to

Open the base unit and ensure
power cable is properly attached.
