Adjustment The mower can be set to different cutting levels. Adjust to de- sired cutting level by means of the lever at each wheel. Move the lever towards the wheel and set the cutting level. All wheels must be in the same height positions. Otherwise uneven cut- ting will result. - Page 16 Starting the Engine for the First Time The battery must be charged for 24 hours before use. You will prolong the life of both battery and starter if you ensure that the starter is not engaged for more than 5 seconds at a time followed by a pause of 10 seconds before you make a fresh attempt to start the machine.

Mow the lawn twice weekly during the most active periods of growth. Never cut more than 1/3 of the length of the grass, MAX 1/3 especially during dry periods. Mow with a high cutting height setting the first time. Examine the result and lower the mower to the desired setting. - Page 20 Regularly Stop the engine and unscrew the dipstick.
