Managing Products

Information entered into dialog boxes during product administration provides the HP EFC
server with information to communicate with the Fibre Channel connectivity products
over the LAN.
Be sure to back up configurations each time you make changes through dialog boxes and
menu options in the HP EFC Manager. Use the procedure in Backing Up and Restoring
Data on page 19.

Add a Product

To identify a product to the HP EFC Manager and add its icon to the Product View, use the
following steps:
1. Open the New Product dialog box using one of the following methods:
– Right-click in a blank area of the Product View and choose New.
– From the Configure menu, choose New product.
The New Product dialog box displays. Figure 55 is an example for the HP Surestore
Director FC-64.
