Using the Topology View

The Topology View displays all products in a fabric, as well as the interswitch links
between products in a multiswitch fabric. Switches and directors that are being managed
by another HP EFC server display without an alert symbol.
Like the Fabric View, the icons in the Topology View have a pass-over functionality. When
the pointer is placed over an icon, the icon's label expands to display the complete WWN or
nickname of the director. The type of information displayed is determined by the display
options selected.
The status table at the top of the Topology View displays the selected fabric's WWN,
operational status, and domain ID of the principal switch. The Fabric Status shows one of
the following:
Operational
All units in the fabric are operational. If one managed product is degraded but
operational (indicated by a yellow triangle status symbol behind the product icon), the
fabric is operational.
Unknown
No information about the fabric is available. This status typically results after removal
or failure of the fabric's principal switch.
Transitioning
This state occurs during a fabric build just before the fabric becomes operational.
Unless a problem occurs, this status appears only briefly.
