Window Layout

The HP EFC Manager window is shown in Figure 3. The Microsoft Windows title bar
appears at the top of the window. The rest of the window is divided into four panels:
Title panel
Navigation control panel
Alert panel
Main panel
Title Panel
The title panel denotes the type of view displayed in the main panel. In Figure 3, the title
panel indicates that the Product View is displayed in the main panel. Refer to Main Panel
Views on page 13 for more details on this and other views.
Navigation Control Panel
Point to an icon on the navigation control panel to display a menu (refer to Figure 3). Menu
options provide access to features that enable you to control and monitor Fibre Channel
products. Refer to Using the HP EFC Manager Navigation Control Panel on page 26 for
information on HP EFC Manager menu options.
Instructions on using these menu options are provided in Using the Product View on
page 31.
Alert Panel
The alert panel displays a colored alert symbol that indicates the most critical status of any
product managed by the HP EFC Manager. For example, if one product has failed, and nine
other products are fully operational, a red diamond with yellow background displays in the
alert panel to indicate the failed product. When all products are operational, a green circle
displays.
