Multiple users

The HP B6000 Management Console supports multiple GUI and CLI sessions. However, we
recommend:
No more than 8 active Operator sessions for the GUI
No more than 16 active Operator sessions for the CLI
No more than 1 active Admin session to ensure there is no confusion when configuration
changes are made
Currently, you cannot see which users are logged in. The accounts show command will list all
the user accounts defined for the HP B6000 Backup System. For each account the authority level
is provided.

Hard disk replacement

The HP B6000 Series Backup System uses RAID 6 storage devices. RAID 6 provides protection
against double disk failures and failures while a single disk is rebuilding. This means that one disk
can fail within each 6–disk array and the system will continue to function correctly. Once the failed
disk is replaced, the RAID rebuilds automatically.
RAID disks are used in the:
Server nodes: there are two disks in each node, which mirror each other. If one fails, the
system will continue to function correctly. The failed disk should be replaced as soon as
possible. The replacement disk invokes the Smart Array Automatic Data Recovery (ADR) feature
to rebuild the replaced drive.
Storage array controllers: each controller has two arrays, each with six disks. One disk may
fail in each array without affecting system functions. The failed disk(s) should be replaced as
soon as possible.
Capacity upgrade shelves: each shelf has two arrays, each with six disks. One disk may fail
in each array without affecting system functions. The failed disk(s) should be replaced as soon
as possible.
