Service sets

A service set is a collection of various services, such as VTL, NAS, Replication and StoreOnce
Catalyst. There is one instance of each service per service set. The auto-configuration process
registers and starts a service set by launching a process on the server for each of the services.
If you are an administrator, you will be able to create elements, such as libraries, NAS shares,
replication mappings and StoreOnce Catalyst stores for a service set. When you create such an
element, you will be asked to select the target service set to which it relates.
IMPORTANT:
cluster configuration. The minimum number is 2 (for a single couplet in one rack), the maximum is
8 (for a two–rack installation with four couplets).
Description
The name of the service set
The node on which the service set is currently running. This is normally the same as the
Main node, unless a failover state has been invoked.
The name of the node on which the service set normally runs.
The name of the failover node for the service set.
The status of the service set, such as: Running, Starting, Fault, Not Started, Stopped or
Unknown.
The number of service sets available depend upon the number of couplets in your
