Cause
Confirmation Method
<Confirmation -1>
Print the System Settings
List, then check that the port
is activated.
<Confirmation - 2>
Print the System Settings
List. When using IPX/SPX,
check that the network
number remains set to
00000000 (NetWare server
down). When using TCP/IP,
check that the IP address
remains set to 0.0.0.0 (fixed
IP address not specified) or
an address supply server
(DHCP server down).
Use NWADMIN or
PCONSOLE to check that the
printer configuration is
correct.*
Print the System Settings
List, then check that the
correct machine name is
entered.
Print the System Settings
List, then check that a tree
name is specified.
Print the System Settings
List, and then check that a
context is specified.
Use CentreWare Internet
Services to check that the
transport protocol is also
specified by the server.
Check the NetWare error of
the machine displayed on the
control panel.
Problems using a NetWare Environment

When using IPX/SPX, start

using TCP/IP, set the fixed IP
address or start the address
supply server (DHCP).

Printer Location: Auto Load

Specify the correct machine
name (printer server name).
Specify a tree name.
Specify a context.
Select the transport protocol
that the server specifies.
Switch the machine off and
on.
