Message Meaning
PAPER JAM Media has misfed in the
DUPLEX duplex option.
PAPER JAM Media has misfed in the fuser
EXIT area.

PAPER JAM Media has misfed in the
TRANSFER transfer roller area. This type
of misfeed means that the
media did not make it to the
paper exit area.
PAPER JAM Media has misfed while being
TRAY 2 pulled from Tray 2.
PUT The size of paper being
"SIZE" printed on is different from the
"TYPE" size of paper specified in the
IN TRAY 1 printer driver.
PUT "SIZE" The paper size set from the

What to Do
Locate and remove the
misfeed.
Locate and remove the

Load the correct paper on
Tray 1, and press the Enter
key, then specify the size
and type of the paper.
" Open Tray 2 and keep
correct paper size. Then
close Tray 2.
" Specify the correct paper
size in the MAIN MENU/
PAPER MENU/INPUT
TRAY/TRAY2/MEDIA
menu.
SIZE
Close the top cover.
Install the imaging cartridge.
Replace the imaging
cartridge with a correct one.
Replace the toner cartridge.
