Positive charges are applied to the back of the paper to attract the negatively charged toner par-
ticles to the paper.
Roller transfer method is applied to stabilize the paper feed and to reduce ozone generation.
Step 5: Separation
The elasticity of the paper causes it to separate from the drum.
To stabilize the paper feed system and to prevent droplets on the printed image at low tem-
perature and low humidity, the charge on the back of the paper is reduced by the static charge
eliminator.
4. Fixing block
As the toner image transferred onto the paper in the transfer block is only adhered by electro-
static attraction, even a light touch will smear the image.
In the fixing block, the toner image is fixed by applying heat and pressure to the paper and
the toner. This fuses the toner particles onto the paper to create permanent image.
Step 6: Fixing
This printer utilizes an on-demand method which uses fixing film with small heat capacity. This
