RESOLVING DP OR AUDIODESK TO SMPTE
TIME CODE
To resolve your Digital Performer/Traveler-mk3
system directly to SMPTE time code with no
additional synchronization devices, use the setup
shown in Figure 3-17 on page 28. Choose Receive
Sync from the Setup menu and choose the Sample
accurate option. Then make sure that the Slave to
External Sync command in the Studio menu is
checked. Make sure the Clock Source setting in the
MOTU Audio Setup window is set to SMPTE. Also,
make sure that you've connected an LTC input
signal to the Traveler-mk3 Time Code input, and
that you've specified that input in the SMPTE
Setup.
RESOLVING OTHER APPLICATIONS TO
SMPTE TIME CODE
To resolve Logic, Cubase, Nuendo or other host
applications that support MIDI Time Code (MTC)
sync, use the setup shown in Figure 3-17 on
page 28. The Traveler-mk3 provides a Sync MIDI
port to the host application. This port supplies
MIDI Time Code generated by the Traveler-mk3 as
it resolves to (or generates) LTC. So set up your
host application to resolve to MTC via the
Traveler-mk3's MIDI Sync port.
