telephone company central office (CO) or
another switch. Often used synonymously with
line.

(touch-tone receiver) Device used to decode
DTMF touch-tones dialed from single-line
telephones or Remote Access telephones.
(voice messaging interface) An enhanced
tip/ring port.
Application that allows users to send
messages to other extensions in the system,
forward messages received with comments,
and reply to messages.
